About the Book

Back in the summer of 2011 I was playing with a friend of mine reflecting on how he got me into golf back in 2006 (thanks Mark!) and how well my golf had come on and yet how much my business had grown in the same period.

Before I got bitten by the golf bug (and man, was I bitten) I’d have said things like :-

  • “I’m too young to play golf”
  • “I’m too busy to play golf, I have to grow my business”
  • “I can’t make the time to practice”

All of which was rubbish.  Like anything you decide to do it’s all about making the decision.

So, literally within a month of first hitting a golf ball I made the decision.  That decision was to get good at golf.  This book is about that journey over the last five years and the parallels I now draw looking back on those five years.  Throughout 2011 I kept thinking there must be some correlation between how I went about improving my golf and what I was doing in my business in order to improve that.
